Carlos Tenorio

Carlos Vicente Tenorio Medina ( born May 14, 1979 in Esmeraldas ) is a football player from Ecuador who is currently playing for CR Vasco da Gama in Brazil. Tenorio is an experienced striker, who is mainly known for his heading ability.

Tenorio began his career with Liga de Quito, where he made the second best scorer of his team in the 2001 season attention. Due to its good performance, he debuted on 14 November 2001 in the national team at a World Cup qualifier against Chile, which ended 0-0. He was nominated for the 2002 World Cup and played in all three group stage matches of his team, without scoring a goal.

For the 2003 season he was loaned to Liga de Quito for five months to Al -Nasr in Saudi Arabia. He signed a contract for the 2004 season at Al -Sadd in Doha, completed but before that some encounters for his Ecuadorian club. In his first year in Qatar, he was the second best scorer of the league after Gabriel Batistuta. With his team, he also won the national championship in 2004. In June 2009, he moved to Dubai at Al -Nasr.

With the national team, he failed to qualify for the World Cup 2006 and is part of the squad for the World Cup in Ecuador. In the first game at the World Cup Tenorio brought against the favored Poland his team with a header in the lead. It was Tenorio's sixth goal in 30 international match. The game was won by Ecuador to another goal from Agustin Delgado 2-0. In the second game of this World Cup Tenorio succeeded again with a header of the opening goal against Costa Rica to 1:0.
