Carlton Sports or short only Carlton is a leading manufacturer of badminton equipment.

History

The company was founded in 1946. Later Carlton was acquired by Dunlop Slazenger International of Greenville, which are now even part of Sports World International. The research of the company is carried out at the Carlton Research and Development Centre in Camberley. Until the 1980s, Carlton was the leading badminton racket manufacturer, later, the company Yonex was ousted from this top position. In the plastic shuttlecock manufacturing Carlton claims to have produced more balls than any other company.
