Carolyn Cassady

Carolyn Cassady ( born April 28, 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee as Carolyn Robinson, † September 20, 2013 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) was an American writer, painter and muse of the Beat Generation.

In 1946 she met in Denver Neal Cassady, with whom she was married from 1948 to 1963. The couple had three children together. During this marriage, there was a perennial love triangle with Jack Kerouac, which was filmed in 1980 under the title heartbeat. She was also the model for the protagonist of " Camille " in Kerouac's novel On the Road.

In 1983, Cassady to London. Your memoirs published in 1990 under the title Off the Road. Twenty years with Cassady, Kerouac and Ginsberg.
