Carpathian Euroregion
The Euro region of Carpathian mountains is an international association that was founded on 14 February 1993 by the Foreign Ministers of Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary in Debrecen. Romania was added in April 1997.
The euro region Carpathians comprises 19 administrative units in five countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungary. The territory of the Carpathian Euro region comprises approximately 148 095 square kilometers and is home to about 15 million people. The euro area was established to bring together and promote cooperation in science, culture, education, commerce, tourism and business people throughout the region.

Poland
In Poland the southeastern Subcarpathian Voivodeship is part of the euro area.
Romania
In Romania, the euro region includes the seven counties Bihor, Salaj, Satu Mare, Maramures ( in the northwest), Harghita, Suceava and Botosani (North-East ).
Slovakia
From the Eastern Slovakia Slovakia Prešov and Košice Regional Associations are involved in the Euro region.
Ukraine
Ukraine is represented by the four western Ukrainian oblasts of Lviv, Transcarpathian, Ivano- Frankivsk and Chernivtsi in the euro region.
Hungary
In Hungary, including the five in the north- east of the country counties Borsod -Abaúj -Zemplén, Hajdú -Bihar, Heves, Jasz -Nagykun -Szolnok, and Szabolcs -Szatmár -Bereg for Euro region.
