Carsten Sänger

Carsten singer ( born November 8, 1962 in Kerspleben; Karsten singer ) is a German football coach and former football player.

The defensive player singer went through in 1971, the youth teams Rot-Weiß Erfurt and arrived in 1980 at age 17 in the Erfurt league squad, the the final of the fdgb Cup reached in the same season and there defeated by FC Carl Zeiss Jena. Until the reunification of Germany, which resulted in Erfurt in third place of the season 1990/91, although the UEFA Cup in 1991/92 reached, but was incorporated only into the 2nd Bundesliga, graduated Singer 225 games in the highest East German league, where he four reach goals. This singer had attracted attention by an alleged doping case within the East German football, as he demanded of him a urine sample could not at first give in sufficient quantity in August 1990 and instead referee Thomas Eßbach provided an appropriate sample for him. Since Eßbach, however, had taken painkillers against his back pain, the urine sample was tested positive and singer accused of doping. His debut in the GDR national team had denied singers already on March 28, 1984 in a 2-1 against Czechoslovakia in Erfurt, followed by 1987 another 15 national team missions. In the second division season 1991/92 singers then played four bets in European competition as well as another 32 missions in league play for the Erfurt, which descended into the now third-rate NOFV- Oberliga.

For the 1992/93 season then joined singer for the Bundesliga relegation FC Hansa Rostock, for which he 73 scoreless second division games completed within two seasons. Following singer moved to third division FC Sachsen Leipzig, he in 28 missions in the 1994/95 season left after a goal again and the second-division team FC Carl Zeiss Jena joined. After a goal in 64 second division appearances for Jena singer came back in 1997 to FC Sachsen Leipzig back, completed this 17 appearances in the regional and has since been player-coach of Leipzig. As early as the following season was a singer back to FC Carl Zeiss, who was now relegated from the Bundesliga 2 in the Regionalliga. After another 28 games for Jena singer left the club again to join his former youth club Rot-Weiß Erfurt. After eight games for Erfurt in the Regional singer was killed on 18 September 1999 on the ride home after returning from an official match in Zwickau hard and lost a leg, which his active career was ended.

Singers from 2002 to coach at FC Oberliga Erfurt-Nord, where his contract was terminated on 11 March 2004. In the 2009/10 season he coached the Thuringian State graders (7th Division) FC Blau-Weiss Dachwig - Döllstädt.
