Carter Iceland is a small, ice-covered island in the Glade Bay, off the west coast of the Peninsula Martin on the West Antarctic Bakutis Coast.

It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey for the years 1959-66 on the basis of spot audits and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the island after Lieutenant George William Carter († 2008). Carter was a member of the naval aviator unit VX6 and served during Operation Deep Freeze 1966 as a maintenance coordinator of the landing field Williams Field on the McMurdo Sound.
