Carwyn Jones

Carwyn Howell Jones ( born March 21, 1967 in Swansea ) is a Welsh politician of the Welsh Labour Party and First Minister of Wales since 2009.

Carwyn Jones studied law at Aberystwyth University and was General Counsel of Wales since 2007. After the announcement of the Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan to retire as of December 2009 by his posts in the government and party, competing for his successor in the party chairmanship three country MPs: Huw Lewis, the Welsh Health and Social Affairs Edwina Hart and Carwyn Jones. The latter sat down on 1 December 2009 in a party vote by and was subsequently selected on 9 December, the new First Minister of Wales ( First Minister of Wales ). In the elections to the National Assembly for Wales in 2011 Jones was able to strengthen its position.
