Cary Building (New York City)

The Cary Building in New York City is a five-storey Gusseisenbau, which is located at the corner of Chambers Street and Reade Street. It was named after its former owner William H. Cary, who acted here with haberdashery.

It was designed in 1856 by Gamaliel King and John Kellum and built in the same year. Since 15 September 1983, is located in the National Register of Historic Places.

Today the building is used for housing, the upper rooms are mostly empty.
