Casino de Montréal

The Casino de Montréal is a casino in the Canadian city of Montreal. It is located on the Île Notre -Dame. With 3200 slot machines and 115 gaming tables in an area 48,900 m² it is the largest casino in the country; worldwide it is one of the ten largest.

The casino is open every day during 24 hours. It is owned by the Société des casinos du Québec, a subsidiary of Loto -Québec, the state lottery company in the province of Quebec. At the casino also has a hotel with 300 rooms, four restaurants, four bars, a theater hall with 2500 seats and rooms for conferences and banquets.

After the provincial government had issued a 1992 Gaming Act, the casino was opened on 9 October 1993. Here we took advantage of an existing building, the former French Pavilion at the World Expo took place 67 extensions in 1994 with the takeover of the Expo pavilions of the province of Quebec and in 1996 with the establishment of an annex building.
