Casio 9850 series

The Casio 9850 series (also known as 9x50 ) is a series of calculators of the brand Casio

Overview

For the first time in 1996 produced, there have been numerous variations of the CFX- 9850G. The 9850 series models have 3-color screens apart from the 9750 versions, which are equipped with black / white display. The 9950G has 64KiB memory instead of the 32KiB of the original 9850G. Later versions such as the GA, GB and GC models fixed some bugs of the original G- models and provided some new statistics and financial features. The GB models have an integrated software library.

French versions

There is French versions, in which the fracture and the exponents are different button labeled.

Weight and Dimensions

The calculator with batteries weigh about 190 grams. The measurements are:

Functions

The Series models allow calculating the scientific values and invoices that support calculus and displaying graphics. They enable the write and execute self-written programs and can operate with statistics and matrices.

Power consumption

The back of the device shows a slightly protruding battery compartment cover. Compartment for four AAA alkaline batteries for primary power and a CR2032 lithium battery cell for memory backup when the main power supply is interrupted The unit has a power of 60 milliwatts and turn off automatically after about six minutes if the device is not used. The battery for the primary power supply lifetime ranges between 240 hours and 150 hours. Lithium cells for memory back-up to have a service life of about two years

Display

The resolution of the display is 128 x 64 pixels ( the first row - vertically and horizontally - are useless for the graphic representation). The display characters can be 8 rows and 21 columns show. The bottom line is reserved for the display of the functions of the six function keys (F1 - F6).

The screen can display the graphics in three colors Display: orange, blue and green. The only exception is the Casio FX- 9750, which has only a black / white display.

The colors are divided into three levels: Orange is blue, and blue is green. This system makes it possible to add or remove, without changing the graphics including images.

Memory locations

The units are supplied either with 32 or 64 KB memory (which are used by all programs ) for programs, statistics, matrices, lists, static and dynamic charts and related settings, functions, recursion equations, financial data, and variables can be used. These can be deleted individually or in complete MEM menu.

Data exchange

The device can be with specialized cables to a computer ( FA -122 interface unit and cable) or to another computer (SB -62 cable) to store data, such as applications, equations, graphs etc to share. You can also send data to a Casio label printer. (SB -62 cable). The specified transmission speed is 9600 bytes per second.

The supplied link cable was designed by Purple Computing and patented. It was produced by Traveling Software (AKA Laplink.com ) and later by Purple Computing. The common name for the cable is " PC -Link". It has a 2.5 mm stereo RCA connectors on one end, the patented electronic circuit inside the plastic cable and a DB9F (9 -pin serial connector) on the other side to connect the PC via a serial interface. The circuit converts low voltage ( low-power signals of the calculator ) to be at the same level of a serial RS232 interface of a PC.

Program library

In the CFX- 9850GB PLUS CFX- 9950GB PLUS models and a program library is integrated which consists of programs that carry out complicated calculations. Among other things, the calculation with differential equations. The programs are divided into six sub-libraries.

Graphics

Graphics can be drawn with a split-screen display. Graphic areas can be shaded in configurable colors. The graphical Darstellungsfelf can be changed and shifted in size (these settings can be saved for later retrieval ), and points are traced along the curve. Special tools may be used to find the useful points, such as the extreme values ( maximum and minimum x and y values) and intersections. The computer also has a special section for more complicated conic graphics. Dynamic graphics provide all the features of regular graphics, but allow the binding of a variable in the graph equation over a range of values.

Lists and Tables

Up to 36 lists can be stored and manipulated in a list manager in several ways. The lists can also be used in order to insert data into integrated statistical operations to create different statistical graphs, performing the regression analysis and the generation of graphics, such as. Among other scatter plots and box and whisker plots Tables of values can be generated from functions, recursive series are generated and polynomial, or general equations, systems of linear equations to be solved.

Financial statements

There are also a number of financial transactions, such as interest calculations, depreciation and amortization, which can also calculate the calculator.
