Čáslavsko

Čáslavsko ( German Tschaslawsko, also Czaslawsko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 14 kilometers north of Pacov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Čáslavsko located in the southwest of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands on a ridge between the valleys of Mohelnice and Martinický Potok ( Goldbach ). To the northeast, the Jizbický raise Kopec ( 599 m) and the Horka (603 m), in the south of Holý vrch (703 m), Strážiště (744 m) and Hřeben ( 685 m ) and northwest of the Nazice ( 623 m).

Neighboring towns are Zhoř, Jenikov and Jizbice in the north, Staré Práchňany, Nové Práchňany, Sudislavice and Malá Paseka in the northeast, Lipkov and Mohelnice in the east, Křešín and Štědrovice the southeast, Šebířův Mlýn, Pod Hronem and Lukavec in the south, Bezděkov, Dolni Lhota and Kopaniny in the southwest, Horni Lhota in the west and Vračkovice and Buková in the northwest.

History

According to legend, the village said to have been founded in the early 16th century by 14 families from Čáslav, who settled down after a big fire here. The first written mention of Čáslavsko took place in 1545. Owners at the time was Nicholas Jankovský of Talmberg. In the 17th century the village belonged to the Lords of Lipa Trček.

After the abolition of patrimonial Čáslavsko formed in 1850 with the districts Jelenov and Kopaniny a municipality in the district team Ledetsch. Seat of the District Court was Dolni Kralovice little later. From 1949 Čáslavsko belonged to Okres Pacov. After the dissolution of the congregation was founded in 1961 associated with the Okres Pelhřimov and also incorporated Štědrovice and Skočidolovice.
