Caspar Brötzmann

Caspar Brötzmann ( born October 13, 1962 in Wuppertal ) is a German electric guitarist.

He gained particular notoriety through the recordings and performances of his early band Caspar Brötzmann massacre, a progressive rock group with classic rock instrumentation: guitar, drums, bass. The band was disbanded after four albums, Brötzmann came immediately with new musicians simply under the name Caspar Brötzmann in appearance - from now without vocals.

Brötzmann's guitar sound and play might remember it to Jimi Hendrix, although here quite a strong personal touch through the creation of controlled noise compositions penetrates, thanks to their hardness find their roots in the field of heavy metal and progressive rock.

Together with his father, Peter Brötzmann, an internationally known jazz saxophonist, he recorded the album Last Home.
