Caspians

Caspians ( Caspii, poor. Kaspikh ) were an ancient tribe that settled around 700 BC in the mouth plane of Cyrus ( Cyrus ) and the Araxes. Even in Herodotus ( † about 424 BC), the Caspian Sea was named after them.

In the countryside Kaspiana named after them (now Lənkəran ), whereas very narrow passes, the so-called Caspian gates ( Tengi Sirdara ) lead, put one old man who had become seventy years of age, in the desert and let them starve to death.

Artaxias ( Artashes; 200-2 BC) was the Caspians of Sembat subject with the Armenian troops.

The former Aryan tribe was completely turanisiert to Eustathius of Thessalonikês times.
