Cat tongue

Cats tongues are a five to eight inches long confection of chocolate, which vaguely resemble the shape of a tongue of cats. They are both milk chocolate and dark chocolate and white chocolate. They are similar in shape ladyfingers, which are called in French cats tongue ( langue -de -chat ).

Cats tongues have already been manufactured before 1900; they were also known by the pastry shop of Emil Gerbeaud, the owners of the Budapest Café Gerbeaud. The Austrian company Küfferle ( now owned by Lindt & Sprüngli ) it produces by its own account since 1892. In Germany Katzenzungen are distributed among other things, the company Sarotti, Hachez and Hallorenring.
