Cataract River (Tenterfield)

The Cataract River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales.

Geography

The river rises on the eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range, about 6 km northeast of Red Hill and about 10 km southeast of Tenterfield. From its source in the Local Government Area Tenterfield Shire, it flows to the northeast, where it flows at Paddy's Flat in the Clarence River.

Shortly before its confluence with the Clarence River, the river flows through the eastern part of the Cataract National Park.
