Catete, Icolo e Bengo

Province

Catete is a small village in the north of Angola, about 60 km east of the capital Luanda with a small station. The railway company Caminhos de Ferro de Angola or its offshoot, the Luandabahn, connects the village to the capital. Catete is also the largest cemetery for old steam locomotives of the CFL.

Catete is the birthplace of Dr. Agostinho Neto, Angola's first president.
