Catherine Bach

Catherine Bach ( born March 1, 1954 in Warren, Ohio as Catherine Bachman ) is an American actress.

Life

Catherine Bach was born as the daughter of a German father and a Mexican mother in 1954 in Warren / Ohio. After the separation of her parents, she grew up in South Dakota, where she also attended high school at the age of 16, she went to California in order to attend USC to study drama. Her teachers included, among others, Milton Katselas and Anna Strasberg.

Her film debut was the actress in 1973 in The Midnight Man. In 1974, she starred opposite Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges in The devil takes the hindmost front of the camera. Subsequently, she appeared in several adult films of Troma Entertainment, until they rarely received in 1979 comes the role of Daisy Duke in The Dukes alone. The success of the series also made Catherine Bach sought-after star. The co-designed by Bach costumes of the figurines were in the 1970s and 1980s, very popular among the younger generation and found numerous imitators. The term Daisy Duke jeans is still used for the description of cut and very short jeans.

Catherine Bach married in 1976 producer David Shaw, who were divorced in 1981. Since 1991 she was married to the actor and star lawyer Peter Lopez, with whom she has two daughters, Sophie and Laura.
