Catherine (metalcore band)

Catherine is an American metalcore band from California's Sacramento.

History

Catherine were formed originally in 2003, but as a five -piece band they were together until 2004 and in the same year, they released a self-produced demo tape.

Their first EP A Call to Entropy was released in 2005 and rereleased itself.

That same year, the band of the record label Rise Records was signed and in 2006 released their debut album Rumor Has It: Astaroth Has Stolen Your Eyes.

After some line- up changes eventually left also singer Bryan Lemasters the band and Nick Bradwell was joined by a new singer.

The second studio album and at the same time also the first album with new singer The Naturals was again released under Rise Records in 2007.

On 28 April 2009 the third studio album Inside Out was released.

Style

The music style of the band can be assigned to the metalcore. By 2006, Catherine was one of the metalcore bands that incorporate their singer is no clearly sung passages in the songs; rather, it dominates deep guttural vocals of former singer Bryan Lemasters. Since the singer changes, there are also cleanly sung passages.
