Catherine of Schwarzburg-Blankenburg

Catherine of Schwarzburg- Blankenburg ( * 1470, † November 27, 1514 ) was the wife of Count Reinhard IV of Hanau coins mountain ( * March 14, 1473; † January 30, 1512 ).

She was a daughter of Günther XXXVIII. of Schwarzburg- Blankenburg ( * 1450, † 1484 ) and Catherine of cross- ford († 1521).

Catherine and Reinhard were married on 13 February 1496th as dowry the bride got the share of the mortgage shaft on the imperial city of Gelnhausen, to the counts of Schwarzburg thought, and 4000 guilders beyond. With this amount of Gelnhausen the Counts of Hanau acquired an important base in the Kinzig valley that connected the "Upper County " to Schlüchtern and Steinau and the " sub- county " to Hanau. Catherine and Reinhard had four children:

Catherine is depicted on the northeast cheeks of the choir stalls in St. Mary's Church in Hanau, the opposite is her husband.

After her death, she was buried in St. Mary's Church in Hanau.
