Causapscal

Causapscal is a Canadian municipality in the province of Quebec.

It was founded in 1880 and in 2006 had 2458 inhabitants. Causapscal located in a valley in the northern Appalachian Mountains at the mouth of Rivière Causapscal in the Rivière Matapédia. The municipality is part of the Regional County Municipality of La Matapédia. Causapscal located 20 km south-east of Amqui. The Route 132 leads in west-east direction through Causapscal; there is also a train station.
