Cávado River

Cávado at Ponte do Bico

The Cávado is a river in Portugal with 135 km length. The hydrological catchment area covers an area of ​​approximately 1589 km ². It flows past near Braga and Barcelos and to the cities Esposende and flows latter in the Atlantic Ocean.

In the course there are the following dams, the first four are used for electricity generation:
