The Swallow Cave (Spanish Sótano de las Golondrinas, Cave of Swallows English ) is the second deepest cave in Mexico, located in the rain forest near the village of Aquismon, in the eastern state of San Luis Potosí. The first level is 333 m deep, has expanded a top opening diameter of about 50 m towards the bottom bell-shaped to about 150 m. The second level is 512 m deep. The name is derived from the nest there sailors (Family Apodidae ); also green parakeets nest there.

The locally based Huaxtecs has long been known the cave. The first recorded ascent was made on December 27, 1966 by TR Evans, Charles Borland and Randy Sterns. Meanwhile, the swallow cave goal of base jumpers has become, the jump in with their parachutes into the opening of the cave.
