Caventou (crater)

Caventou is a very small impact craters in the western part of the Mare Imbrium. The circular, cup-shaped crater is completely surrounded by Mare. Before being renamed by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) in 1976 Caventou was called La Hire D since he was assigned to the southeast, Mons La Hire.
