Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, 18th Duchess of Alba
Cayetana Fitz- James Stuart ( María del Rosario Cayetana Paloma Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Fernanda Teresa Francisca de Paula Lourdes Antonia Josefa Fausta Rita Castor Dorotea Santa Esperanza Fitz- James Stuart y de Silva y Falco Gurtubay, born March 28, 1926 in Madrid), commonly Duchess called Alba is a Spanish aristocrat.
It is, among other things, the 18th Duchess of Alba and the 11th Duchess of Berwick.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it is the person with the most noble titles worldwide. Thus, it is eight times the Duchess, fifteen times marquise, twenty-one times the countess and nineteen times Spanish Grande.
Life
Cayetana Fitz- James Stuart is the daughter of Jacobo Fitz- James Stuart y Falco (1878-1953), 17th Duke of Alba, and María del Rosario de Silva y Gurtubay. From the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War until 1945, she lived with her parents in London, where her father was ambassador of the Franco regime. After returning to Spain she married on October 12, 1947 Luis Martínez de Irujo with whom she had six children: Carlos Fitz- James Stuart y Martínez de Irujo (* 1948), Alfonso Martínez de Irujo y Fitz- James Stuart ( b. 1950 ), Jacobo Fitz- James Stuart y Martínez de Irujo (* 1954), Fernando Martínez de Irujo y Fitz- James Stuart ( b. 1959 ), Cayetano Martínez de Irujo y Fitz- James Stuart ( b. 1963 ), Eugenia Martínez de Irujo y Fitz- James Stuart ( b. 1968 ). Her first husband died in 1972.
In 1978 she married the theologian Jesús Aguirre, who died in 2001. On October 5, 2011, she married for the third time at the age of 85 years with the official Alfonso Díez (* 1950). In the run they had divided a portion of their assets to their children.
Possession
Its members include palaces, castles and palaces, an art collection with works by Goya, Velázquez and Titian, a library of first editions worth 20 million euros and large estates. She and her family have received EU farm subsidies in the millions. It applies with a fortune of about 600 million euros as one of the richest persons from Spain.
