Cazaubon
Cazaubon is a commune in the Gers department in the Région Midi -Pyrénées in the arrondissement of Condom. Cazaubon is the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Cazaubon. The municipality has 1728 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).
Geography
Cazaubon is located about 62 kilometers northwest of the river Douze Also, in the historical province of Armagnac. Mont -de- Marsan is located approximately 34.5 km west-southwest of Cazaubon. The municipality is part of the resort and spa Barbotan -les -Thermes at Lac de l' Uby.
History
A water sanctuary of the Celts has been demonstrated. In the bathrooms of Barbotan -les -Thermes total of 21 people died in a fire on 15 July 1991.
