CB Estudiantes

Club Baloncesto Estudiantes is a basketball team from the Spanish capital Madrid. The team plays in the Spanish basketball league, the ACB league.

Achievements

1963, 1992 and 2000 the club won the Copa. In the years 1962, 1973, 1975 and 1971, was runner-up Copa. Also in the league it was 1962/63, 1966 /67 1980/81 and 2003/ 04 respectively runner-up. The club was one of the founding members of the Spanish basketball league. In the 2011/12 season with Estudiantes took 17th place relegation, so the club would be after 55 years in the top flight for the first time in club history relegated to the second division. However, since the two climbers Menorca Bàsquet and CB Canarias 1939 could not afford the necessary financial means to enroll in the Spanish League Association Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), the people of Madrid retained their starting place in the first division.

Since 1973, they took part in the European Cup 23 times. The outstanding success forms the finals in Korać Cup in season 1998 /99.
