CBBC (TV channel)

CBBC is the children's programs at the BBC. It aired from September 9, 1985 as a regular program on BBC One. Since February 11, 2002 CBBC will air as a separate transmitter and is aimed at 4-12 year old children. For younger children there with a sister channel CBeebies.

CBBC was awarded in November 2008 as "Channel of the Year" by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
