CD Alcoyano

Club Deportivo Alcoyano ( Val Club Esportiu Alcoià ) is a Spanish football club from the town of Alcoy. Currently the club plays in the Segunda División B.

History

CD Alcoyano was, after the merger of the two clubs in the city of Alcoy Racing and Levante, founded in 1929. 1942 rose for the first time in the Segunda División, and 1945, just three years later, they won the league and was allowed to participate in the following year at the Primera División. Overall, the club played four seasons in the top division (1945 /46, and 1947/48, 1948/49, 1950 /51).

More moral than Alcoyano

"More than Alcoyano morality " is to have a phrase which has become the norm in the Spanish language. The origin is not fully understood, claiming a phrase would have emerged as players and the clubs in the Primera División, despite some hopeless situation, always believed in the league, while others see in an actual game, when the club despite 5 to 6 goals residue always continued to fight, and at the end also complained to the referee blew the final whistle too early because of this the game on the ground.
