CE Sabadell FC

The Centre d' Esports Sabadell Futbol Club is a Spanish football club based in the Catalan city of Sabadell. Currently the club plays in the Segunda División.

History

CE Sabadell was founded in 1903, and is one of the oldest football clubs of Spain. Because of the idiosyncratic jerseys they are referred to by the fans affectionately known as Harlequin. The first, and probably biggest success CE Sabadell in 1935, when they brought it to the final of the Spanish Cup, where they lost to Sevilla FC 0-3. 1943 for the first time reached the summit in the Primera División, where you played fourteen seasons. The best results were a fifth overall place 1946/47, and a fourth in 1968/69. The latter entitled the Club also to participate in the Fairs Cup 1969/70, where they lost in the first round against FC Bruges. The last season in the Primera División denied CE Sabadell 1987/88.
