Cebu Taoist Temple

The Taoist Temple in Cebu City on the island of Cebu, Philippines is located in the district of Beverly Hills, 300 meters above sea level and is about three access routes accessible.

The Taoist Temple is the religious center of Chinese religion of Daoism ( Taoism ) in the Visayas. It was built in 1972 by the Chinese community in Cebu. This constitutes about 15 % of the total population of Cebu City.

The temple has been constructed in a typically Chinese architectural style as the Pagoda with several buildings, a temple complex. Taoist ceremonies are held on Wednesdays and Sundays. Daoists the practice of Daoist rituals at any time. The temple has a chapel, a library, and a souvenir shop and a wishing well.

The outer walls of the temple are decorated with Chinese symbols. The rear entrance to the temple is modeled after the Great Wall of China. The front entrance is reached via 99 steps. Before the temple are several terraces with animal sculptures of Chinese mythology, such as dragons and lions created. From the terrace a panoramic view is possible in Cebu City, Mandaue City, Mactan Iceland, across the road from Cebu to the islands of Olango and Bohol.

The temple is one of the attractions in the region Central Visayas. Photographing inside the prayer room is not permitted.
