Čechůvky

Čechůvky ( German Tschechuwek ) is a district of Prostějov in the Czech Republic with 163 inhabitants ( as of 2001).

Location

The village lies east of Prostějov and belongs to Okres Prostějov.

History

East of Čechůvky there is a chapel from the year 1722. 1866 fought in Čechůvky Prussian and Saxon units. To commemorate the skirmish a crucifix was erected. Mid-20th century the village belonged to the district court Proßnitz.Zwischen 1960 and 1972 Čechůvky was incorporated in Vrahovice. Since 1 January 1973, both villages are districts of Prostějov.
