Cécile Guillame

Cécile Guillame ( born July 18, 1933 Chassey -lès- Montbozon, France; † 4 August 2004) was a French engraver and stamp artist. She was the first woman who has engraved stamps for the post office in France.

In the 1950s she studied at the École des Beaux -Arts in Nancy and the École nationale supérieure des beaux -arts de Paris. Thanks to her husband, engraver Michel Monvoisin, she could begin also to work for the French post office as engraver and stamp artist. In 1967 their first stamp for Monaco in 1973 for France appeared.

When she retired, she had engraved or designed more than 300 stamps.
