Cecilia Rouse

Cecilia Elena Rouse ( born August 18, 1963) is an American economist who is currently working under President Barack Obama at the Council of Economic Advisers.

Rouse, -budgetary Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, settled for their advisory activities in the political sector officially on leave (before their recruitment under the Obama administration worked Rouse 1998/99 in the National Economic Council under President Bill Clinton). She has been at the same time the editor of the magazine "The Future of Children" ( The Future of Children) and "Journal of Labour Economics " (in Journal of Labor Economics).

Training

Rouse received her B. A. in economics at Harvard University, her Masters in 1986 with magna cum laude and her Ph.D. Economics in 1992. Subsequently she became a professor of economics at Princeton University.

Life

Cecilia grew up in Del Mar ( California). She has two siblings - Forest Rouse, a physicist, and Carolyn Rouse, an anthropologist and professor at Princeton University. Her father is a engaged in research physicist who has his Ph.D. 1956 at the California Institute of Technology received. Her mother worked as a school psychologist.

Rouse leads the development of their education it back that she has traveled extensively as a young child and a lot has explored, as well as the " importance of the learning for my parents had ." Her brother and sister both have Ph.Ds in physics and visual anthropology.
