Čedomir Jovanović

Čedomir Jovanović (Serbian Cyrillic - Чедомир Јовановић; born April 13, 1971 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian politician.

Life

He studied drama at the University of Arts Belgrade, worked as a journalist and participated in the student protests of 1996/97 against Slobodan Milošević.

He was a member of the Demokratska Stranka who participated in the Alliance party Democratic Opposition of Serbia. For this he was elected in December 2000 as a deputy of the Serbian Parliament, he was from January 2001 to March 2003 party leader. After the death of Zoran Djindjic Jovanović was Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia (then part of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ).

On November 5, 2005 Jovanović and his followers founded the Liberal Democratic Party ( Liberalno - Demokratska partija, LDP). In the parliamentary elections in Serbia 2007, he again succeeded in the catchment into Parliament, where he is leader of the LDP faction.
