Makiadi the Corner (2007)

Cédric Makiadi Mapuata (born 23 February 1984 in Kinshasa, also Cedrick Makiadi ) is a Congolese football player who is under contract with the German first division club SV Werder Bremen.

Career

Born in Congo Makiadi plays since the age of nine football. About the Post SV Lübeck, the Eichholzer SV and VfB Lübeck, he came in 2002 to VfL Wolfsburg. There, the tech-savvy midfielder had a regular place in the amateur team and came in the Bundesliga on numerous missions.

Matchday 34 Season 2005/ 06 Makiadi became the " match-winner " when he came off the bench in the match against 1.FC Kaiserslautern at the score of 0:1 and ushered through a gate and an assist for Diego Klimowicz the turn and thus Wolfsburg saved them from relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga. Instead rose from Kaiserslautern. The trade magazine Kicker has named Makiadi then "Player of the 34th game day ." The following year he was a regular player and came in 30 of the 34 Bundesliga games available for use.

In the 2007 /08 season, however, he found no place in the new, ambitious team of coach Felix Magath and played a single time in the first team. He was then hired in the summer of 2008 for one year at second division club MSV Duisburg. In Duisburg, he scored on 5 game against Alemannia Aachen in the first half, a hat-trick, where he met once with each of the head and the left and right foot. Together with Benjamin Auer (Aachen) and Marek Mintal ( Nurnberg ) was Makiadi on Sainsonende with 16 goals scorer in the Bundesliga 2.

After completion of the 2008/09 season Makiadi first announced the return of the new German champions VfL Wolfsburg, where he still had a contract until 2010. A few days later his move to the Bundesliga SC Freiburg climber was announced. His first competitive game for his new club, he completed on 1 August 2009 in the first round of the DFB Cup 2009/10 against the SV 07 Elversberg. His first game in the league, he had the first match against Hamburger SV, on matchday six he made his first goal against Hertha BSC. In March 2011 Makiadi extended his contract with the Breisgauern prematurely until at least 2013, on the precise contractual terms were not disclosed.

For the 2013/14 season Makiadi changed due to a possibility of opting out of his contract within the league for SV Werder Bremen. He signed a contract until 30 June 2016 and meets coach Robin Dutt, with whom he had already worked in Freiburg.

In Germany a long time spelling was common Cedrick, which was also used by his former club, VfL Wolfsburg.

National

His first cap for the Congolese national team, he played on 2 June 2007 in the qualification for the African Cup of Nations in Addis Ababa against Ethiopia. In the 0-1 defeat he was substituted in the 64th minute.
