CEFET

Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica ( Federal Center of Technological Education ), in short: CEFET, is the name given to the Brazilian higher education institutions at the federal level that are connected directly to the Ministry of Education. They offer courses at various levels, such as high schools, technical colleges or higher education institutions.

With the creation of the Federal Technical Education, Law 11892/2008, almost all CEFET have been deleted and are now part of the Federal Office for Education, Science and Technology.
