The Enovos Luxembourg S. A. is the largest power company in Luxembourg.

Enovos Luxembourg is an electricity and gas supplier. The company is also active in energy trading. Subsidiaries in Germany include the Enovos Energy Germany GmbH in Wiesbaden and the Enovos Germany AG in Saarbrücken.

History

Predecessor of Enovos International S. A. was the SOTEG SA, in which 97% of the SaarFerngas AG and 83% of Cegedel SA were filed against issue of shares. Following the contribution ( contribution in kind to the capital increase and issue of share premium ) the SOTEG SA made ​​a mandatory offer to the free float of Cegedel SA ( 17.2% were not traded on the stock exchanges in Luxembourg and Brussels). After a successful public takeover offer was made the de -listing and squeeze out the by minority so that the SOTEG SA holds 100% of shares of Cegedel SA. Cegedel S. A.

Cegedel was founded as Compagnie Grand -Ducale d' Electricite du Luxembourg ( Grand Duchy of Luxembourg electricity company ) on 27 March 1928. Since 1997, she wore the shorter name Cegedel. The company operated mainly in the power supply (market share in Luxembourg about 60 %), as well as in power generation, energy trading, in the distribution of natural gas and telecommunications.

Last among 32.8 % of the shares of the Luxembourg State, 30.4% of Luxempart - Energie SA, 11.9 % of the state bank SNCI and 7.8 % of Electrabel. The remaining 17.1% of the shares were in free float. Soteg S. A.

Soteg was founded on 5 February 1974 as Société de Transport de Gaz. Since 1999, she wore the shorter name Soteg. The company initially operated in the transport and supply of natural gas, later the power was added and the expansion of the gas business in France.

Last among 21 % of the shares of the Luxembourg State, 10 % of the State Bank SNCI, 20% of ArcelorMittal, 20 %, E.ON Ruhrgas, 19 % and 10% Cegedel SaarFerngas.
