Celia Mara

Celia Mara ( Célia Mara, born 1963 in Pedra Azul, Minas Gerais ) is a Brazilian singer- songwriter. She was born 1963 in Pedra Azul and lives since the 1990 s years in Europe, especially in Vienna and partly in Salvador.

Musically and politically, it is the movement of the Mestizo music to you, stylistically strongly influenced by Brazilian music, especially here the MPB, attributed to the parent genre of world music. It is, together with Silvia Jura and Susi Rogenhofer, co-founder of the movement femous: platform for famous female culture.

On 8 March 2011, she was awarded the dual citizenship in the interest of the Republic of Austria.
