Céline Sciamma
Céline Sciamma ( born December 11, 1978 in Pontoise ) is a French screenwriter and film director.
Life
Sciamma grew up in a suburb of Paris. She graduated from the French literature at the University of Paris- Nanterre. She then studied 2001-2005 at the film school La fémis with specialization in the script. 2004 and 2006, she wrote screenplays for two short films by Jean -Baptiste de Laubier aka Para One.
2007 Sciamma debuted as a director with the movie Water Lilies ( Naissance original title of pieuvres ), which premiered at Cannes and achieved international success. Her second feature film length, Tomboy, opened the Panorama section of the Berlinale 2011.
