Čelistná

Čelistná ( German Tschelistna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Čelistná located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands on a ridge between the valleys and the Bela Hejlovka. The village is surrounded by the peaks of the Holý Kopec (626 m), Slavik ( 639 m) and Vaškův Kopec (612 m) surrounded.

Neighboring towns are Rynárec and Rovná in the northeast, Vratišov in the east, Mezná in the south, Vlásenice - Drbohlavy the southwest, Božejov in the west and Libkova Voda in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Čelistná as the property of William of Rynárec dates from the year 1362. Burjan Trček of Lipa received in 1467 by George of Podiebrad paid a part of the village and joined it to his reign Pelhřimov. In 1468 he sold this part of Prokop Štítný of Štítné, the angliederte him to the Good Proseč - Obořiště. 1535 acquired in January Leskovský of Leskovec Proseč - Obořiště with all the accessories of Václav Štítný. This Čelistná the reign Kamenice was submissive. 1549 came Čelistná then Božejov and from 1579 it belonged to Horni Cerekev. In 1619 was in January Říčanský Říčany owner of Čelistná and untied the place of Horni Cerekev going on. He lost after the Battle of White Mountain in his possession and Čelistná was reconnected to Horni Cerekev, where it remained until the abolition of patrimonial regimes.

1848 Čelistná became an independent municipality with the districts Vlásenice - Drbohlavy and Vratišov. By 1880 the community was named Čelistné. After the change of the name in 1900 in Čelisná the place in 1910 acquired its current name Čelistná. On 1 July 1975 Čelistná was incorporated into Libkova Voda and connected to the beginning of 1980 as part of the municipality of Pelhřimov. Since 1 January 1993 Čelistná is self again.
