Reviews

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews, the film show at a closer look, more intelligence than one of his " re-used " could expect action, what he owed mainly to the sense of the writers for parody. He had some weaknesses, such as " overly happy " end. None of the three main characters offer a " memorable " performance, but all three would play properly.

Jack Mathews wrote in the Los Angeles Times of 19 April 1996, the basic idea of the movie was not bad, but neither Tom nor DeCerchio Judd Apatow they sat so that they functioned. Daniel Stern and Dan Aykroyd were not funny enough to overcome the weaknesses of played stereotypical characters. Damon Wayans WOULD funnier than the two of them, but the character played by him " arrogant and selfish " character WOULD just as " unsympathetic " as those of his captors.

The lexicon of international film wrote that the film was an " attempt at comedy in the sport milieu, which must be considered in all respects as having failed and just still seems ridiculous without being funny ."
