Cem Atan

Cem Atan (* June 30, 1985 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian footballer of Turkish descent.

Career

The playing at right midfield Atan began his career with the first SC Wiener Neustadt, where he joined the Amateur Division of the SK Rapid Wien. After falling out of favor at Rapid, he moved to the Styria TSV Hartberg, from where he moved to SV Mattersburg in January 2006. In the headlines he got not only by his sporting achievements, but also by its intense nightlife, as well as fights off the field.

His debut in the Bundesliga was Atan on 18 February 2006 just against Rapid Wien. He was replaced in the 86th minute for René Wagner. His greatest success was reaching the Cup final in 2006.

The Turkish top club Besiktas Istanbul 's attention in the summer of 2008 to Atan and offered the SV Mattersburg a transfer fee of 750,000 €, as these had already been long term, however, planned with Atan (his contract ends on June 30, 2010), but the offer was rejected.

In summer 2010 he moved but then to Turkey and signed at Ankara Gençlerbirliği

After half a year, with only a league use his contract was terminated by mutual reportedly, after which he moved to LASK Linz back to Austria.

For Summer 2012 Atan returned to Turkey and signed at third division Kizilcahamamspor. He left this club after only half a season and moved within the league to Fethiyespor. Here he was second with his team Lig Playoff winner of the TFF and thus rose to the TFF 1 Lig.

In the spring of 2014 Atan moved to third division Gümüshanespor.

National

His debut in the Austrian national team was Atan on March 28, 2007 in Paris against France. Another game followed. After his international career was ended abruptly again because of some incidents off the pitch. Meanwhile, he is considered rehabilitated, but was no longer held to deal with mediocre performances at club level to date.
