Cem Boyner

Cem Boyner ( born September 3, 1955 in İstanbul ) is a Turkish textile entrepreneur and politician.

Life

Cem Boyner comes from one of the wealthiest merchant families in Turkey. He graduated from Robert College and Bosphorus University. He worked for many years in the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and was TÜSİAD meantime employers President. He is married to his second wife Ümit Boyner, born in 1963, the ( TÜSIAD ) since January 2010 President of the Association of Turkish Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. After his political activities he has today is primarily a business of Boyner Holding.

Policy

He is the leader and co-founder of the Turkish party, New Democracy Movement (tr: YDH ). The establishment in the mid-90s was driven primarily because of general dissatisfaction with the established parties. After Boyner his party wanted to negotiate with the Kurds on the one hand and on the other hand give the fundamentalists more development opportunities. In economic policy, the privatization of state-owned enterprises should bring economic recovery. Already in the late 90s, the new party of the political scene disappeared.
