CEMIG

Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais S. A. ( CEMIG ) is an energy company of Brazil, headquartered in Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais. The company is listed on the financial index IBOVESPA.

CEMIG is a holding company consisting of 107 companies, the largest combined power producers and utilities in Brazil. The company owns about 50 power plants; most of which are hydroelectric power plants. CEMIG also distributes natural gas by the company Gasmig and also owns a cable television companies, Internet and telecommunications company with the company name Cemig Telecom, which uses the company's cable networks.

CEMIG is half owned by the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
