Cene Prevc

Cene Prevc (born 12 March 1996) is a Slovenian ski jumper.

Career

Prevc who starts for the club Sk Triglav Kranj, made ​​his international debut on February 6, 2011 as part of the FIS Cup in his home town of Kranj. After a 15th place of the 14 -year-old will start shortly thereafter in the Alpine Cup and here could achieve good results by the end of 2011. On January 15, 2012, he stood at the FIS Cup in Predazzo in the second event for the first time on the podium and was second after finishing fourth the podium just missed the day before.

On 28 and 29 January 2012, he was given a starting place in the Slovenian B- squad for the first time. Then he gave in Bischofshofen his debut in ski jumping Continental Cup, although he did in two competitions was not convincing. After he vorwies very good results in the sequence in the Alpine Cup and he sometimes just barely missed the podium ranks, he won his first FIS World Cup competition in Liberec on ​​February 18, 2012. In the junior team competition in Kranj shortly afterwards he was with the team on the podium again and placed third. The FIS Cup 2011/12 won Prevc before Rok Justin and Michael Dreher. In the Slovenian ski jumping championships 2012 in Kranj he won the first competition together with Gašper Vodan, Automatic Plaznik and Matej Dobovšek the bronze medal and in the second competition together with Robert Kranjec, Peter Prevc and Dejan Judez the title in the team competition.

In July 2012, he found a jump in his home Kranj back into the Continental Cup, but missed the required score points again significantly. However, after he won the Alpine Cup competition in Einsiedeln September 1, 2012, he surprised the Continental Cup with a 14th place in Lillehammer. In the second event on the Lysgårds hill he finished second behind Wolfgang Loitzl and thus was on the podium for the first time in the Continental Cup. Also in Tchaikovsky reach him point gains. In Klingenthal he missed the first jump in fourth place his second podium just barely. In the second event, he retired after the passage of one already.

At the beginning of the winter season 2012/13 reach Prevc in Seefeld in Tirol at the Toni- Seelos- Olympic ski jump two victories in the Alpine Cup. Even when he moved back to the Continental thereafter, he succeeded two top 10 finishes in Engelberg. Due to this good performance, the association decided it under the Slovenian team for the Four Hills Tournament 2012/13 in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen invite. After another Alps Cup success in Planica succeeded Prevc at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec to win together with Anže Semenic, Ernest Prišlič and Jaka Hvala the gold medal in the team competition. After he failed to reach the beginning of February at two Continental Cup competitions in Planica the points, he competed in the European Youth Olympic Festival 2013 in Rasnov on the Trambulina Valea Cărbunării. In jumping on the big hill he won ahead of his compatriot Anže Lanisek and the Austrian Thomas Hofer, after in 2009 in Szczyrk his brother Peter Prevc won this competition. He also won with Lanisek, Nejc Seretinek and Florjan Jelovcan the gold medal of the same jump and silver on the normal hill.

At the end of the 2012/13 season he again enter Vikersund Nizhny Tagil and four good top -20 rankings and thus he was at the end of the season at the 47th place in the overall standings.

In the Slovenian ski jumping championships in 2013 in Kranj he won gold again after 2012 with the team. In the individual competition he finished the victory of his brother the ninth.
