Cenobio Paniagua

Cenobio Paniagua y Vasques ( born September 30, 1821 in Tlalpujagua; † November 2, 1882 in Córdoba) was a Mexican composer.

Paniagua completed his violin training and was second conductor of the orchestra of the Cathedral of Mexico City. There he founded a music academy. Later he lived in Havana and from 1868 in Córdoba.

He composed several operas, including Catalina de Guisa, the oratory Tobías and about seventy exhibitions and wrote music-theoretical writings.
