The funds Moravian Carpathians ( Karpaty Středomoravské ) belong to the western foothills of the Outer Western Carpathians. They are, unlike the name suggests, rather in the southern Moravia, east of Brno. In the north and west borders the mountain range of the Western Outer Carpathians valleys, to the east by the Slovak -Moravian Carpathians and on the south by the Vienna Basin. The highest point is the Brdo with 587 meters.

The mountain is mostly a forested area covered with beech and spruce. It is one of the most important agricultural land for vines, apricots and peaches, and vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.
