Centre for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies

The Centre for Applied Nonviolent Action and Strategies, short CANVAS, German Centre for Applied nonviolent action and strategies, is an organization that deals with non-violent resistance. It makes the world of pro-democracy activists.

The organization was founded in Belgrade in 2004 by Slobodan Djinovic and Srđa Popović. Mediated the experience of Otpor! and basics of nonviolence among others by Gene Sharp. Mohamed Adel, co-founder of the Youth Movement of April 6 in Egypt, was in July 2010 in Belgrade a course.
