The Centre hospitalier de l' Université de Montréal ( CHUM ) is a network of general hospitals and teaching hospitals in the Canadian city of Montreal, which are connected with the local Université de Montréal.
Founded in 1996 to network includes three hospitals:
- Hôpital Notre- Dame de Montréal
- Hôpital Saint- Luc
- Hôtel- Dieu de Montréal
These hospitals were once used predominantly French-speaking majority and were under the control of the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in 1645 Hôtel- Dieu de Montréal is the oldest hospital in Canada. The amalgamated in the CHUM hospitals include a total of around 10,000 employees. Also for the network part of a medical research center.
Another network is the McGill University Health Centre.
