Cephalic Carnage

Cephalic Carnage is an American Death Grind band from Denver, Colorado.

History

Cephalic Carnage was founded in 1992 by Leonard " Lenzig " Leal (vocals) and Zac Joe ( electric guitar ). A year later, they separated after the release of their first demo with the name Scrape My Lungs.

It was only in 1996 Cephalic Carnage was newly established and with the support of the new members John Merryman ( drums), and Steve Goldberg ( electric guitar ) was recorded a new demo Fortuitous Oddity. The Italian label Headfuckers Records became aware of the band, and in 1998 the first album with the name Conforming To Abnormality has been published. That same year, bassist Doug Williams left the band and got in with Origin. He was replaced by Jawsh Mullen.

In 2000 came after Relapse Records a record contract signed their second album Exploiting Dysfunction on the market. It was followed by a tour with Napalm Death and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Their next album, Lucid Interval came in 2002 in the stores, followed by a tour with thrash metal bands Kreator and Destruction followed.

In September 2004 the band recorded their fourth studio album Anomalies and it was a music video for the song Dying Will Be the Death of Me, which is a parody of the Metalcore published. Anomalies finally appeared in March 2005.

2006 Jawsh Mullen left the band for personal reasons. In early 2007, with Nick "Brass Smith " Schendzielos found a replacement for him. In the same year appeared - also on the label Relapse Records - the fifth studio album Xenosapien.
